The President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ren Hongbin, led a delegation to Thailand to attend the third meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council for 2026.

From July 8th to 10th, at the invitation of the Secretariat of the APEC Business Advisory Council in Thailand, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Bangkok to attend the 2026 ABAC Third Meeting and deliver a closing speech. As the Chair of the APEC Business Leaders' Summit in 2026, Ren Hongbin introduced the relevant information at the closing session of the meeting, inviting Asia-Pacific business leaders to gather in Shenzhen in November to promote cooperation, development, and achieve fruitful results in Asia-Pacific business cooperation, leaving a significant "business imprint" for the "China Year" of APEC. During the meeting, Ren Hongbin met with representatives of the United States, Thailand, New Zealand, and other APEC economies to discuss topics such as promoting cooperation in various aspects of the "China Year" of APEC and contributing high-quality business outcomes to the APEC Leaders' Meeting. During his visit to Thailand, Ren Hongbin also met with Lin Chuqin, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Qiu Weigong, Chair of the Thai-Chinese Business Committee, and Xie Guomin, Senior Chairman of the Charoen Pokphand Group, and held discussions with government and business figures such as Agnes Pongpan, Thailand's Minister of Energy, Kirida Bhaopichit, Deputy Minister of Commerce, and Chai Wacharongkoon, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. He actively promoted the concept of the APEC "China Year" and emphasized China's willingness to work together with Thailand to promote the integration of industrial and supply chains, expand green energy and smart technology cooperation, uphold free trade and multilateralism, and achieve higher levels of mutually beneficial cooperation and success.
