Jiangsu province's typhoon emergency response level has been upgraded to level III, with maximum gusts reaching around 10 on the Beaufort scale in several areas.
On July 11, 2026, at 6:06 am, the Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Bureau upgraded and issued a yellow typhoon warning. Due to the impact of Typhoon "Bavi", it is expected that from the 11th to the 14th, areas including Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Taizhou, and Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province will experience maximum gusts of around 10 on the Beaufort scale. Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Huaian, and Suqian will experience maximum gusts of around 9. The seas near Nantong and Yancheng, as well as the Huai River, will experience gusts of around 11. The Jiangsu Provincial Flood Control and Drought Resistance Headquarters has decided to raise the emergency response to level III from 6 am on July 11, 2026. All levels of government and relevant departments in the affected areas need to closely monitor the typhoon's movements, strengthen emergency response and analysis, identify and address hidden risks, enhance risk control, organize the evacuation of residents in dangerous areas in advance, and prepare for emergency rescue.
