The National Oceanic Forecasting Station issues a red alert for waves.
The National Oceanic Forecasting Center issued a red wave warning at 8 a.m. on July 11th: Due to the impact of Typhoon "Bawi," it is predicted that from the morning of July 11th to the morning of July 12th, there will be a frenzy of 9 to 13 meters in the southern part of the East China Sea, and huge waves of 5 to 8 meters in the northern part of the East China Sea. The Taiwan Strait will experience waves of 4 to 6 meters in the frenzy zone. The sea wave warning level for the nearshore waters is orange. Nearshore waters in Zhejiang and northern Fujian will see waves of 5 to 8 meters, with a red warning level for these areas. Nearshore waters in Shanghai will experience waves of 3 to 5 meters, with an orange warning level. Nearshore waters in the southern part of Jiangsu will see waves of 3 to 4 meters, while waves of 2.5 to 3.5 meters are expected in the southern part of Fujian, with a yellow warning level in these areas. Nearshore waters in the southern part of Shandong and the northern part of Jiangsu will experience waves of 1.5 to 2.5 meters, with a blue warning level. Please ensure the safety of vessels operating in these areas and relevant coastal units are advised to take precautionary measures against high waves.
