Fujian maintains a level III emergency response for typhoon prevention.

Typhoon "Bavi," the ninth typhoon of the year, is currently located about 830 kilometers southeast of Keelung City, Taiwan at 05:00 today, with maximum winds near the center reaching 14 on the Beaufort scale. It is expected to move northwestward at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour, gradually approaching the central part of Fujian to the southern coast of Zhejiang. It is forecasted to make landfall along the coast from Fuqing, Fujian to Wenling, Zhejiang on the evening of the 11th. Due to its impact, today, the maximum wind force in the waters outside Fujian, the Diaoyu Islands sea area, and the eastern Fujian fishing grounds will be 11-14 on the Beaufort scale, with gusts reaching 14-16. Near the sea areas where the typhoon center passes, wind forces can reach 14-15, with gusts of 16-17. The maximum wind force in the central and southern Fujian fishing grounds will be 10-13, with gusts of 13-16. Along the northern coastal areas, the maximum wind force will be 9-11, with gusts of 12-14. In the Taiwan shoal fishing grounds and the southern coastal sea areas, the maximum wind force will be 6-8, with gusts of 8-10. Fujian Province's typhoon defense department has maintained a level III emergency response.
