Nestl will invest 688 million US dollars to build a center in Thailand, creating 520 new job positions.
Thailand has approved a 23 billion baht investment project by Nestle Thailand Limited to build a smart factory and distribution center, helping Thailand establish itself as a regional food and beverage manufacturing center. The Thailand Board of Investment approved the new factory project on Wednesday, with the site selected in the central province of Saraburi. The Board of Investment announced on Thursday that the base is planned to start production in the fourth quarter of 2028, producing 170,000 tons of instant Nestle coffee, mixed coffee drinks, and ready-to-drink beverages per year. With multinational companies diversifying their supply chains in Southeast Asia, Thailand is actively introducing technology-based manufacturing and high value-added food industries, and this investment is evidence of this trend. Nestle stated that its business history in Thailand exceeds 130 years. The new factory will utilize artificial intelligence, robotic automation equipment, and advanced production systems to improve production efficiency and reduce environmental carbon emissions, creating over 520 job opportunities for local engineers and technical professionals in Thailand.
