According to the routine press conference held by the National Medical Insurance Administration today, it was learned that in the first half of 2026, the 2025 version of the medical insurance drug list added negotiated drugs were equipped in 310,000 designated medical institutions, and over 12 million people have already used the newly added drugs in the 2025 list. From January to May, the national medical insurance fund spent 2.636 billion yuan on new drugs, driving drug sales of 3.946 billion yuan. In particular, some products with high public attention, such as Inclisiran for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, have been introduced into nearly 1,700 designated medical institutions and retail pharmacies, allowing a large number of patients to enjoy the convenience of new drugs. Additionally, to better serve patients, the National Medical Insurance Administration has provided a "medical insurance drug search" service on its official website and WeChat public account, allowing the public to easily find out which hospitals and pharmacies have dispensed these drugs. The innovative drug list for commercial insurance has been fully implemented. The first edition of the innovative drug list for commercial insurance includes 19 drugs with high clinical value, high innovation, and clear benefits to patients, but beyond the scope of basic medical insurance coverage. By the end of May, the drugs from the innovative drug list for commercial insurance had been equipped in 1,486 designated medical institutions, and over 100 products guaranteeing benefits had covered the drugs in the list. It was introduced that the innovative drug list for commercial insurance is a recommended list aimed at clarifying the boundaries of basic medical insurance coverage and leaving room for the development of commercial insurance. The National Medical Insurance Administration stated that the adjustment of the medical insurance list and the innovative drug list for commercial insurance has already been initiated this year, with a total of 818 application materials received during the application phase, a further increase from 2025. The formal review has ended, and the new version of the list is expected to be released in November.
