According to industry insiders, Samsung's semiconductor wafer foundry department has recently adjusted its supply strategy, prioritizing existing customers' orders and selectively accepting orders from new customers. Industry analysts pointed out that the explosive growth of the artificial intelligence market is fundamentally changing the demand structure of wafer foundry. The advanced manufacturing process demand, which was previously focused on application processors for smartphones, has now shifted to artificial intelligence accelerator chips, special integrated circuit chips, and high-performance computing chips. Samsung's 4nm wafer foundry capacity is almost sold out, and even next year's capacity is also sold out. Some of the 8nm wafer foundry capacity is also running at nearly full load.
