Foreign investors sold the largest amount of Japanese bonds in June since 2023.

Preliminary portfolio flow data released by the Japanese Ministry of Finance on Thursday shows that overseas investors sold an estimated amount of Japanese bonds last month, the largest since 2023. Based on weekly data as of June 26 from the Ministry of Finance, the total amount of foreign selling of Japanese bonds in June reached 3.12 trillion yen (19.2 billion US dollars).
