Local temperatures in Xinjiang may exceed 50 degrees Celsius, with increased high temperatures in the Huang-Huai region and intense heat in southern China.
With the development of the continental high pressure and the northward movement of the southern rain belt, many places in the north and south will experience increased heat this week, with many areas expecting high temperatures. From June 30 to July 3, Xinjiang, western Gansu and other places will experience unusually hot weather for this time of year. Temperatures in many areas of North China and the Huang-Huai region will reach new highs for this year, while South China will become extremely hot and humid, requiring enhanced measures to prevent heatstroke. This week, the hottest areas will be Xinjiang, western Gansu, western Inner Mongolia, and Ningxia. Under the continuing influence of the strengthening continental high pressure, these areas will experience sunny and hot weather in the next four days, with an increase in high temperature days and intensifying heat. Especially in Xinjiang and western Gansu, many places could see temperatures exceeding 40C, reaching unprecedented levels of heat, and possibly even breaking records. In some local areas of the Turpan Basin in particular, temperatures could reach as high as 50C to 52C, possibly challenging the national record of the highest measured temperature of 52.2C.
