The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced today the logistics operation data from January to May of this year. Overall, the logistics demand has maintained stable growth, with the acceleration of the conversion between new and old driving forces, and the continuous emergence of structural upgrading momentum. From January to May, the total social logistics amount in the country was 146.6 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%. Among them, the total amount of industrial goods logistics increased by 5.4% year-on-year. The differentiation characteristics of industries continue to be evident, with traditional resource-based logistics demands such as mining and non-metallic mineral product industry continuing to operate at low levels, while logistics demand in high-end manufacturing sectors continues to grow rapidly as new quality productivity accelerates. In May, logistics demand related to high-tech manufacturing industries increased by 15.1% year-on-year, and logistics demand related to equipment manufacturing industries increased by 9.5% year-on-year, both faster than the previous month.
