The first satellite network coordination meeting between China and Egypt's regulatory authorities was successfully held.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from June 22 to 25, 2026, the Radio Management Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and Egypt's Radio Supervisory Authority held their first satellite network coordination meeting in Giza, Egypt. Under the framework of the International Telecommunication Union's "Radio Regulations," the two sides held discussions on more than 40 issues related to multiple satellite systems in high and low orbits, involving satellite communication, satellite meteorology, and Beidou short messages, among other services. The two sides fully exchanged views and reached multiple agreements, jointly signing the meeting minutes. The successful holding of this meeting promoted the frequency compatibility and sharing of satellite systems between the two countries, helping to accelerate the international coordination process of China's satellite networks and further promote the development of China's aerospace engineering. The Chinese delegation for this meeting was composed of units such as the Radio Management Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Radio Spectrum Management Center, the National Satellite Meteorological Center, the Beijing Tracking and Communication Technology Research Institute, the Beijing Satellite Navigation Center, China Satellite Network Group Co., Ltd., and China Satcom Group Corporation. The Egyptian delegation was composed of units such as the Egyptian National Telecommunication Authority, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, and NILESAT satellite company.
