According to the Financial Times citing sources, Elon Musk's SpaceX has informed investors that the company plans to launch a new Starlink mobile service for American consumers. Gwynne Shotwell, President and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, stated during the company's initial public offering roadshow that they are considering launching a Starlink retail product. The company may build its own ground-based mobile network covering the United States, but this would require Starlink to sell mobile contracts to individual users. SpaceX did not respond to requests for comment.
