Data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology shows that in May 2026, the domestic market shipped 27.639 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%. Among them, 26.224 million were 5G phones, a year-on-year increase of 23.8%, accounting for 94.9% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period.
