ASM and the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) are collaborating to promote the mass production of photon chips.
ASML and the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research announced a collaboration to jointly develop and promote the industrialization of photonics chips. The collaboration will focus on the photonics chip pilot production line being built in the High Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands by TNO. ASML will provide manufacturing technology support in stages, including DUV and I-Line lithography equipment. Once the project is operational, the factory will have the capacity to mass produce indium phosphide photonics chips on 6-inch wafers.
