ASML (ASML.O) and the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) announced a collaboration to jointly develop and promote the industrialization of photonics chips. The cooperation between the two parties will revolve around the photonics chip pilot production line being constructed at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands by TNO. ASML will provide manufacturing technology support, including DUV and I-Line lithography equipment, in stages. Once the project is operational, the factory will have the production capacity for 6-inch InP (indium phosphide) photonics chips.
