The Dow rose 0.85%, the S&P 500 rose 1.20%, and the Nasdaq rose 1.50%. Western Digital rose 8.85%, Intel rose 8.81%, Arm Holdings rose 6.61%, and Seagate rose 6.56%. Among the "Seven Sisters": Nvidia rose 1.46%, Meta Platforms rose 1.31%, Apple rose 1.14%, Amazon rose 0.95%, Google rose 0.84%, Tesla rose 0.36%, and Microsoft rose 0.10%.
