The general office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments have issued a notice regarding the promotion of new energy vehicles in rural areas in 2026. The promotion aims to further promote the replacement of old cars with new ones in rural areas. The activity will establish a special zone for the replacement of old cars with new ones, promote subsidy policies, provide services such as old car evaluation, subsidy application assistance, and other one-stop services to improve awareness and coverage of preferential policies, and facilitate rural consumers to participate and enjoy subsidies. Rural consumers who purchase new energy vehicles can apply for the car scrappage subsidy according to policy requirements, without being limited by the number of subsidy qualifications.
