From central top-level design to dense implementation at the local level, from the injection of fiscal funds to the innovation of financing mechanisms, urban renewal has been advancing at an unprecedented pace since 2026. Recently, the first national-level special plan in the field of urban renewal, the "15th Five-Year Plan for Urban Renewal", has been launched. In addition, the results of the selection of central financial support for urban renewal actions in 2026 have been announced, with 15 new cities including Changchun, Wuxi, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Yinchuan being selected. So far, a total of 50 cities have received central financial support for urban renewal from 2024 to 2026. Experts believe that with the support of various parties, urban renewal will drive investments in the trillions, which will bring opportunities to related companies.
