HSBC and Hang Seng applications have resumed normal operations, after experiencing partial service interruptions due to technical issues.
According to reports, spokespersons for HSBC and Hang Seng respectively stated on June 15 that all services have fully resumed normal operation. The application programs of the two banks experienced technical malfunctions this morning, affecting some banking services. HSBC's application program was temporarily unavailable, and users attempting to log in would receive error messages such as "unable to log in" or "access restricted, please provide your valid email address and phone number". Hang Seng's platform indicated that application programs or online banking services may have slower response times or intermittent interruptions.
