The massive energy consumption brought by data transfer issues has prompted Cloud Service Providers (CSP) to elevate interconnection technology to the same strategic level as computing technology. Interconnection architecture has become a key strategic asset determining the expansion speed, energy efficiency, and supply chain control capabilities of AI Factories. Therefore, TrendForce estimates that the CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) / NPO (Near Packaged Optics) market size will significantly grow from around $100 million in 2025 to over $39 billion in 2030.
