According to a news from the United States on the 12th, United States Commerce Secretary Lutnick wrote a letter to the CEO of AnthroPeak Company, Dario Amodei, stating that the company's two latest artificial intelligence models will be subject to export controls, prohibiting them from being provided to any entity outside the United States and all foreign individuals within the country. AnthroPeak later released a statement saying that the government has the right to prevent unsafe deployments, but should do so through transparent, fair, and technology-based legal procedures, which this action does not comply with those principles. The statement also apologized to customers and stated that they are working to restore access rights as soon as possible. In March of this year, AnthroPeak was placed on a federal government supply chain risk blacklist for refusing the unrestricted use of the company's artificial intelligence technology by the US Department of Defense. The company then filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Defense.
