SpaceX's rapid inclusion in the index was questioned by US Senator Warren.

The office statement of US Senator Elizabeth Warren shows that Warren wrote to several index company executives questioning the news that these companies are considering or approving rule adjustments to expedite the inclusion of SpaceX in indices. Warren wrote to S&P Dow Jones Indices CEO Catherine Clay, FTSE Russell CEO Fiona Bassett, MSCI Index President Amelia Furr, and Nasdaq CEO and President Adena T. Friedman. Warren asked whether standard investor and market protection measures are being waived in order to expedite the inclusion of SpaceX in indices.
