Futian Beiqi Battery Factory is expected to start production in August, and is expected to produce 7.5 GWh of battery cells this year.

On June 10th, according to the latest news from BAIC Group, Erares BAIC New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s battery factory has recently produced its first battery core and entered the mass production stage. Currently, the construction of the factory is in the final stages, with the equipment of the second production line being debugged. It is expected to officially start production in August. The factory is expected to produce 7.5 GWh of battery cores in the whole year of 2026. After reaching full production capacity, the project will have an annual production capacity of 15 GWh of power batteries. Erares BAIC is jointly invested by Ningde Times, BAIC Group, State Grid Corporation, and Xiaomi Corporation.
