Perplexity CEO: Regardless of how the Anthropic and OpenAI IPO progresses, the company plans to go public in 2028.
Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas stated that regardless of market reactions to the listings of Anthropic and OpenAI, the company plans to go public in 2028. Srinivas said in an interview aired on Tuesday, "Our IPO plan was originally set for 2028, unrelated to these two companies, and currently, that plan remains unchanged." Srinivas had previously stated that the company has no plans to go public before 2028, and this statement further clarified the timing of the IPO. Srinivas openly admitted in the interview, "If these few companies face a cold reception during their listing, it will inevitably have a chain reaction, there is no doubt about it. This week, the performance of SpaceX's IPO will also be an important indicator to judge the listings trends for Anthropic and OpenAI."
