The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, today announced that to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to the motherland, the Hong Kong SAR government will launch a series of activities on July 1st, including flag-raising ceremonies, parades, sports competitions, etc. In addition, various discounts will be offered to citizens on July 1st, with MTR giving away 71,000 train tickets and free tram rides for citizens.
