BHP Billiton's Spence Mine and Escondida Mine sign cooperation agreement in Chile.

BHP Group's Spence Copper Mine and Xelargorda Copper Mine signed a memorandum of understanding, intending to explore cooperation opportunities to optimize the operational efficiency and reduce production costs of the two adjacent copper mines in northern Chile. An announcement released at the Antofagasta International Mining Exhibition on Monday shows that the two companies will evaluate the cooperation space in procurement and other operational aspects to achieve economies of scale. Leveraging the advantage of the proximity of the two mines, the two parties will carry out multiple joint project evaluations.
