Vice President of China Electro-Mechanical Commercial Association, Shi Yonghong, meets with CEO of Solar Energy Management Initiative, Rachel Owens, and her team.
On the morning of June 5th, Vice President of China Machinery and Electrical Products Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, Shi Yonghong, met with Chief Executive Officer of Solar Energy Management Initiative, Rachel Owens, in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth discussions on topics such as cooperation on ESG standards in the photovoltaic industry and reached multiple agreements. Solar Energy Management Initiative is the first organization in the global photovoltaic field dedicated to providing ESG certification solutions. By the end of 2025, the initiative had covered approximately 70% of global solar manufacturing capacity, and its certification system has been recognized by international institutions such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and global mainstream photovoltaic buyers. During the meeting, both sides introduced their respective organizations and focused on promoting the implementation of ESG standards in the photovoltaic industry, building a sustainable supply chain compliance system, and assisting Chinese photovoltaic companies in meeting international market access requirements. Representatives from the Chamber's Machinery Industry Department and International Liaison Department accompanied the meeting.
