Sichuan: By 2028, cultivate more than 200 professional industrial designers and establish 25 or more provincial-level and higher industrial design centers.

Sichuan recently issued the "Action Plan for Promoting Service-oriented Manufacturing Innovative Development in Sichuan Province". It mentions the implementation of the "Design Sichuan: Enhancing Manufacturing Design Capability Action". This initiative aims to guide manufacturing enterprises to establish industrial design departments, create national, provincial, and municipal industrial design centers, and use design innovation to lead the increase in added value and brand influence of manufacturing products. It encourages cities with conditions to plan and construct industrial design industry parks and creative design spaces with distinct features, promote industrial design industrialization and cluster development. It also aims to improve the level of design services, address the ecological deficiencies in professional consulting, model making, and pilot services, organize industrial design events, promote design innovation, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation, and assist in the manufacturing industry's "increasing variety", "improving quality", and "creating brand". By 2028, more than 200 industrial design professional title holders will be trained, and more than 25 provincial-level and above industrial design centers will be developed.
