FIFA confirmed on the 5th that due to technical problems on the ticketing website, dozens of people received free tickets to the World Cup. FIFA is now demanding that these people pay for the tickets, otherwise their reserved seats will be cancelled. According to the UK's Sky News channel, about 60 people found out on the 3rd that due to a payment process failure, the tickets they purchased were mistakenly marked as "no payment required" with a price of "0 dollars". FIFA apologized for the inconvenience caused by this technical failure in a statement, and at the same time requested that fans who received free tickets make payment for their purchased tickets within 7 days, otherwise their seats will be cancelled. The tickets in question were all for group stage matches held in Toronto, Canada.
