Bayer's finerenone Phase III trial achieved the primary endpoint, obtaining new evidence for the indication of non-diabetic chronic kidney disease.
Bayer announced on June 5th the complete results of the FIND-CKD Phase III clinical trial, which evaluated the efficacy of KERENDIA in adults with non-diabetic chronic kidney disease receiving standard treatment. The results showed that KERENDIA met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a significant improvement in the rate of kidney disease progression measured by the estimated glomerular filtration rate slope compared to placebo. Additionally, KERENDIA also showed statistically significant benefits in secondary composite renal-cardiovascular endpoints, which included kidney failure, sustained eGFR decline 57%, hospitalization for heart failure, or cardiovascular death.
