Recently, the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization released the Spring 2026 Semiconductor Market Forecast Report, significantly raising its growth expectations for the global semiconductor industry in 2026 and 2027. The data shows that due to the exceptionally strong market performance at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, WSTS predicts that the global semiconductor market will achieve a year-on-year growth of 90% in 2026, reaching a total size of $1.51 trillion. The accelerated growth of the global semiconductor market is mainly led by the field of memory chips. In 2026, the sales of memory chips are expected to increase by approximately 250% year-on-year, exceeding $800 billion.
