Li Hongzhong meets with the European Parliament delegation on China-EU relations

Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with the European Parliament delegation for China-EU relations led by head Elmar Brok in Beijing on the 27th. Li Hongzhong expressed that President Xi Jinping reached important consensus with EU leaders last year, pointing out the direction for the development of China-EU relations. China is willing to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust, deepen cooperation, and achieve mutual benefit with the EU, join hands to address global challenges, strengthen exchanges at all levels and in all fields of legislative institutions, jointly play a role in communication mechanisms, and promote the healthy and stable development of China-EU relations. Elmar Brok stated that the EU is willing to work together with China to contribute to the advancement of EU-China relations.
