Japan's Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Shinichi Uchida, has been discharged from the hospital.

The Bank of Japan announced that Deputy Governor Shinichi Uchida was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. The 63-year-old Uchida had been undergoing treatment for leukemia. Starting from Wednesday, he is expected to return to the office and resume his duties in principle, and is also expected to attend the monetary policy meeting scheduled for June 15th to 16th, either in person or online from his office. He was hospitalized for leukemia treatment in November last year and has been working remotely during that time.
