Midday Review: The ChiNext Index rose by 0.7% after reaching a high and then falling back. Inverter, semiconductor, and movie theater industries are among the top gainers.
In the morning session, the three major indexes of A-shares had mixed movement. As of noon, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 1.11%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.42%, the Growth Enterprise Index rose by 0.7%, the BeiGene 50 Index fell by 2.18%, and the STAR 50 Index fell by 0.86%. The total market turnover was 2.0844 trillion yuan, a decrease of 89 billion yuan from the previous day, with over 4600 stocks falling across the entire market.
In terms of sector performance, inverters, film and television, and semiconductor sectors were the top gainers, while precious metals, oil and gas exploration and services, and electrical machinery sectors were the top losers.
On the market, the film and television sector opened high and strengthened, with companies like Bona Film Group and Huayi Brothers Entertainment hitting the daily limit, and Jiecheng Stock, Hengdian Film and Television, and Enlight Media leading the gains. The inverter sector surged early on but then oscillated at high levels, with Zhengtai Power hitting the limit up, and Jinlang Technology, GuDewei, and Sunshine Power leading in gains. The semiconductor sector opened high but saw some retreats, with companies like Yangjie Technology, Tianyue Advance, and Beijing Junzheng rising by over 10%.
In terms of declines, the precious metals sector, which surged yesterday, saw adjustments, with Sichuan Jinlu, Xiaocheng Technology, Shangjin International, Western Gold, and Hunan Silver all falling. The electrical machinery sector also performed poorly, with Yifan Transmission falling by over 10%, and companies like Fangzheng Electric Machine, Zhaowei Mechanical and Electrical, and Tongda Power all declining.
