Google CEO Pichai stated at the 2026 I/O Developer Conference that the monthly active users of the Gemini AI application have more than doubled in the past year, reaching 9 billion daily requests, an increase of over 7 times. He added that the company is currently processing over 3.2 trillion AI tokens per month, a growth of about 7 times from the 480 trillion a year ago, and significantly higher than the 97 trillion level in May 2024.
