Many banks have closed their credit card apps.
Recently, Bank of China announced that the credit card exclusive mobile application "Colorful Life" will stop service starting from July 1st. Prior to this, several banks have also announced the shutdown of their credit card mobile applications. The banks stated that they are simply integrating the mobile applications to make it more convenient for users to access through a single entrance, without affecting customer usage and experience. Industry experts generally believe that reducing separate mobile applications is beneficial for banks to lower operating costs. More importantly, integrating credit card services into the bank's comprehensive application allows customers to easily switch between various services and better connect multiple services. In the future, banks will focus more on providing existing customers with more refined services, rather than simply pursuing card issuance volume.
