On the 15th, Wang Fengli, deputy director of the Deep Reform Office of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, said at a special news conference in Chongqing on "building a high-standard Hainan Free Trade Port" that the value of imported goods with "zero tariffs" in Hainan Free Trade Port has exceeded 22 billion yuan since its closure. He stated that Hainan Free Trade Port will continue to optimize and improve its policy and institutional system, especially by aligning with international high-standard economic and trade rules, further optimizing and adjusting various policy lists, deepening the promotion of coordinated access for domestic and foreign investments, and steadily pushing forward the reform of the simplified tax system, among other efforts, to accelerate the establishment of a policy and institutional system adapted to a high-level free trade port.
