Where to travel: This week, the average airfare has dropped by more than 40%, and popular routes are back to the 300 yuan range.
On May 12th, data from Qunar Travel shows that the average price of domestic airline tickets has been decreasing since reaching a peak on May 5th. Compared to the "May Day" holiday, this week's average ticket prices have dropped by 41%. The civil aviation market is entering the traditional off-peak travel season, and ticket prices are expected to continue to decline. Several popular routes have seen significant price drops, with prices for direct flights from Beijing to Nanjing as low as 300 yuan until early June. Tickets to Harbin, Xi'an, Ningbo, and other destinations from Beijing are also being sold for as low as 300 yuan.
