Jiangsu: Promote the introduction of special policies in the field of artificial intelligence and build a number of distinctive "artificial intelligence +" data annotation industry innovation pilot zones.

According to the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Statistics, Jiangsu has highlighted the construction of high-quality datasets to accelerate the development of a batch of benchmark datasets that meet the requirements for AI readiness, effectively train advanced models, solve industry problems, and have international influence, providing solid support for the innovation and development of artificial intelligence in Jiangsu Province. As of the first quarter of this year, China has built over 116,000 high-quality datasets with a total volume exceeding 960PB. As a province rich in data, Jiangsu has established 521 high-quality datasets in key areas such as healthcare, transportation, industry, energy, culture, and tourism, with a total scale exceeding 95PB. In order to further address the bottlenecks in the implementation of "AI + various industries," Jiangsu will implement a set of strategies for building high-quality datasets: promote the introduction of special policies in the field of artificial intelligence, clarify industrial development goals, key tasks, and safeguard measures; support districts and cities to build a variety of distinctive "AI +" data annotation industry innovation experimental zones according to local conditions; fully leverage the role of the High-Quality Dataset Expert Committee and the Data Annotation and Dataset Standard Working Group to systematically promote pilot experiments on high-quality datasets; organize leading companies and key units to compile lists of data annotation needs and capabilities in key areas such as intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, the internet of vehicles, and government services; actively introduce demand-side platform companies and collaborate to promote the construction of data annotation innovative factories, accelerating the cultivation of leading data annotation companies, unicorns, and "gazelle" companies; regularly organize high-level supply and demand matching activities to promote the adaptation of high-quality provincial resources to local demand; strengthen the construction of data science and disciplines, support universities and research institutes to establish relevant majors, construct integrated industry-education training bases, and systematically train professional talents in artificial intelligence.
