The Cambodian Parliament passed the draft of the "Military Service Law".

On May 12, local time, the Cambodian parliament passed the draft of the "Military Service Law", which will subsequently be submitted to the Cambodian Senate for review. The draft stipulates that all Cambodian male citizens aged between 18 and 25 must fulfill their military service obligations according to the law, with a service period of 24 months, which can be extended by 6 months in special circumstances. Those who evade military service will face fines and imprisonment penalties.
