The yen to dollar exchange rate rose 1.2% to 156.06, regaining momentum from the intervention by the Japanese authorities in the foreign exchange market. Note: On April 30th, the Japanese government intervened in the foreign exchange market for the first time since 2024, causing the yen to soar.
