Increasing awareness of copyright protection, the State Administration of Radio and Television (SARFT) is carrying out concentrated governance of infringement and dissemination of TV dramas.

Recently, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television held a mobilization meeting to concentrate on cracking down on the infringement and dissemination of TV dramas. The meeting pointed out that the infringement and dissemination of TV dramas seriously damages the legitimate rights and interests of the production and broadcasting parties, and disrupts the healthy and sustainable development of the radio and television industry. The Radio and Television Administration, based on its industry management responsibilities, will work with relevant regulatory departments such as the National Copyright Administration to strengthen the responsibility of network platforms, focusing on addressing issues of infringement and dissemination of TV dramas on illegal websites, browsers, search engines, and cloud storage services. The meeting emphasized the importance of both curing the symptoms and root causes, implementing comprehensive treatment, and combining concentrated governance with normalized implementation, effectively connecting the governance of infringement and dissemination of TV dramas with the National Copyright Administration's "Jianwang 2026" special action, strengthening the publicity of copyright knowledge in the radio and television media, promoting copyright protection awareness throughout society. In the future, adding important copyright protection tips at the beginning of the program will become a "standard action" for major long video platforms and TV stations when launching new drama series.
