Ministry of Transport: "May Day" holiday, cross-regional personnel flow throughout society will reach a record high

Today, the Ministry of Transport held a press conference. Gong Bo, Deputy Director of the Transport Service Department of the Ministry of Transport, introduced that during the May Day holiday, the volume of cross-regional personnel mobility in society will reach a historically high level for the same period. During the May Day holiday, the volume of cross-regional personnel mobility in society is expected to reach 1.52 billion person-times, with an average of 304 million person-times per day, an increase of 4% year-on-year. The first day of the holiday will see a historically high level of people and vehicle flow. It is estimated that on May 1st, the volume of cross-regional personnel mobility in society will reach 344 million person-times, an increase of 3.3% year-on-year; the flow of vehicles on highways will reach 70 million, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year.
