Google DeepMind CEO visits South Korea, meets with leaders of Hyundai Motor and LG Group.

According to industry insiders, Demis Hassabis, co-founder and CEO of Google DeepMind, met with the leaders of major South Korean corporate groups on Tuesday, including Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo. Sources said that Hassabis and Koo Kwang-mo are expected to discuss further collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence at a closed-door meeting. Executives from LG Electronics, a subsidiary of LG Group, and their artificial intelligence research laboratory also attended the meeting. Sources said that Hassabis has been in Seoul since Monday, marking his first visit to South Korea in a decade.
