UK maritime agency: 38 security incidents occurred in the Strait of Hormuz and other sea areas in the past two months.

On April 27th local time, the UK Maritime Trade Operations office issued a bulletin stating that between February 28th, 2026 and 8am on April 27th, a total of 38 security incidents involving vessels sailing in the Arabian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman were reported. Among them, there were 23 attacks, 13 suspicious activities, and 2 hijackings.
