Pork prices have fallen below 6 yuan per pound.

Pork prices hit a new low in over 7 years, a supermarket official in Beijing told reporters that starting from the end of March, prices of pork from different parts and of different varieties have all declined. Among them, the price of strip pork has decreased the most significantly, with the retail price falling below 6 yuan per catty.
