The national procuratorial organs have prosecuted more than 19,000 people for intellectual property rights infringement crimes since 2025.

The "White Paper on Intellectual Property Inspection Work" issued by the Supreme People's Procuratorate on April 21 shows that national procuratorial organs are lawfully punishing crimes of infringing intellectual property rights. In 2025, they accepted, reviewed, and arrested 6,220 cases involving 10,509 persons for infringing intellectual property rights, approved the arrest of 3,781 cases involving 5,709 persons, and did not approve the arrest of 4,666 persons. They accepted, reviewed, and prosecuted 11,341 cases involving 25,160 persons, prosecuted 9,135 cases involving 19,102 persons, and did not prosecute 5,105 persons. The White Paper shows that national procuratorial organs handled 1,251 civil cases of intellectual property inspection in 2025; handled 1,795 administrative cases of intellectual property inspection; accepted 741 clues of public interest litigation in the field of intellectual property, and filed 612 cases.
