The Houmacun Tunnel, a key and challenging control project of the Shennan High-Speed Rail, has been successfully connected.

Reporters learned from China Railway 14th Bureau Group that the difficult and critical engineering project of the Shenzhen-Nan Railway, the Hangzhan Village Tunnel, has recently been successfully completed. This marks a significant breakthrough in the project's construction, laying a solid foundation for the entire line to be completed and opened on schedule. The Hangzhan Village Tunnel is located in Yun'an District, Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, with a total length of 1083 meters. The surrounding rock level of the tunnel is all grade V, with poor rock stability and high safety risks. According to Dong Jialian, the project manager of China Railway 14th Bureau, the construction team has improved the overall stability of the initial support by adjusting the excavation footage and strengthening advanced geological forecasting measures. At the same time, an information security monitoring center has been established to enhance monitoring of high-risk areas such as toxic and harmful gases, ensuring the safe and stable excavation of the tunnel under complex geological conditions.
