The analysis agency has revised its forecast for the global aluminum market in 2026 from a large surplus to a shortage. In an extreme scenario, if Gulf countries completely halt production, the global aluminum supply gap could expand to millions of tons. Consultancy firms predict that this year the global aluminum market supply gap could be as high as 4 million tons.
