Today, CCTV News Channel broadcasted a report titled "Who is giving the green light to the banned 'dark anime'," exposing the airing and selling of related products and videos of the Japanese dark anime "Tokyo Ghoul" on some social media and shopping platforms. As of 3:00 pm today, some related products of dark anime have been taken down from the JD.com shopping platform, and some dark anime videos on social platforms such as Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and Bilibili have been removed. Related products on online shopping platforms like Pinduoduo and Taobao are still being sold. Originating from Japan, "dark anime" is banned in China due to its content involving violence, horror, and death. The entire series of "Tokyo Ghoul" was banned from all online platforms in mainland China in June 2015.
